This review of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone is written from an objective point of view. Reviews of movies are never an objective way to assess whether the movie is good or bad. Instead, reviews from real people like you who've actually watched the movie can offer a more objective evaluation.
For the last movie, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, many reviews said that this movie was a great way to end the series. Personally, I liked it a lot. Some say it was boring though. How do you rate this movie?
Like any other movie, the key to any movie rating is how well it follows the plot of the book. Here, the plot was much different compared to what happened in the previous two movies. From here on, we'll compare the movie with the last book to see how they're similar and how they're different.
In the book, Harry had a companion. In the movie, his companion was Professor Quirrell. It seems that the people who made the movie Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone wanted to add a friend to Harry. On the other hand, in the book, Harry has only ever seen someone as a foe's friend.
This makes the movie really different from the book where the one of the most famous ones were Snape and Dumbledore. After all, they didn't really know each other before the series. In the book, they got along quite well, especially Dumbledore, but in the movie, it seems as if Snape treated him as an enemy.
While I'm not sure that this was really necessary, the theater aspect in the movie is definitely better than in the book. Most movies of this kind have the best quality audio than any other. Of course, this wasn't the case in this movie. Most of the dialogue is just a little bit soft and a little bit hard to understand. If there's some background noise, sometimes I can't hear what's going on.
The soundtrack from this movie is also a big difference from the first movie and the later books. That's because most of the songs were played more than in the previous movies. When Harry was running away from the Dementors in the movie, they were playing "Lost Boys". During the Quidditch match between Harry and Hermione, Harry's theme was played. There are many other songs, but it's just the background music that was used.
With all the great qualities of the internet, you should be able to watch the movie online easily without missing any important parts. That being said, it doesn't matter whether you've seen the previous Harry Potter movies or not, if you've watched this one already, then it would be more meaningful for you to read the review because it will make it more enjoyable.
